Cayla and Kate didn’t just support us during labour, it was from the start that made us feel empowered to make informed decisions with their expertise. After coming home, we were continually supported as we transitioned into being new parents. We took the opportunity to take Cayla’s Sleep Eduction Training, it was packed with great information that has been so valuable! The format was engaging and new parents would be missing out if they did not take it. That very night, we put several things into action, it made me feel great as a new dad being able to implement that knowledge into action immediately. Cayla and Kate were the most incredible doula team and I cannot recommend them enough!

My husband and I hired them for their doula services for our first pregnancy and birth. We loved that we got home visits with both of them separately and that they were available to us via Whatsapp for any questions before and after our birth.

My labour and birth didn’t go to plan, but Kate was there helping me through each contraction and supported me when we needed to pivot to the hospital. I felt very supported by her through the whole process and honestly don’t know how I would have managed without her!

Even though you prepare as best as you can for parenthood, once baby arrives, you’re thrown into the most intense learn on the job situation. Cayla and Kate supported us so well through this transition, ensuring we established breastfeeding early on, helping us with sleep tips, calming our anxieties, and helping with baby’s first bath. We would be in a much different spot and have struggled significantly more if it weren’t for Cayla and Kate!

If you're having your first baby and have no idea what to expect these are definitely for you! We just completed the 7 week class program and couldn't recommend it enough. Jenn and Cayla were both fantastic at educating us in a wide range of topics from early labour, to active labour, to postpartum care. An entire class was focused on breastfeeding which was enlightening. We are walking away feeling much more prepared and at ease going into labour and are much more confident in what we can expect and how to have a better pain management experience and what to expect for the weeks after. I have nothing but amazing things to say about welcome baby co. We had Cayla and Kate as our doulas and it changed everything. We felt so well cared for. I did not have the easiest birth and Cayla was with me every step of the way. Kate stopped in after when I was in post partum to check in on me because she happened to be at the hospital. Honestly the level of care from this doula team was unbelievable and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for doula support.

I also want to leave a review for Deanna. Deanna became an integral part of our family at about 3 months postpartum when I returned to work part time and needed some trusted help with my daughter. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Deanna. It is not easy to leave your 3 month old in someone else's care but Deanna put me at ease immediately. Having Cayla and Kate on my birth support team was the best decision possible. The prenatal, labour, and postpartum support they offered was both meaningful and incredibly memorable.

During our prenatal visits Kate and Cayla brought up so many things we hadn’t considered and helped us to plan for birth and postpartum without overwhelming us.

When my baby boy decided to come unexpectedly four weeks early, Cayla was ready to go and at my side as soon as I wanted her. She helped to turn my hospital room into a calming space using affirmation cards, a galaxy light, and a Bluetooth speaker. When it was time for me to make decisions she helped slow things down to allow me to consider my options.

Most importantly, when my baby was taken to the NICU after only a few minutes, Cayla stayed with me so my husband could be with the baby. She helped me collect colostrum, held my hand as I was receiving stitches, and reassured me that my baby was ok and in the best possible hands.

Kate was incredibly patient and visited us several weeks after birth, and helped us through some sleep associations and techniques to help our baby boy go down for naps.

My husband and I, who hadn’t originally considered hiring a doula, are so incredibly grateful that we chose Cayla and Kate as our Doula’s and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for extra support at their birth.

Through my actual birth, Kate was awesome. She was supportive and helped me find different pushing positions. She knew when to stand back and let my partner help, and when to come back in again.

After the birth Cayla helped me troubleshoot some breastfeeding challenges I was having. She tried more techniques with me than the lactation consultant at the hospital.

BEST RESOURCE EVER!! The baby prep classes are a MUST for new parents! We learned so much that gave us a huge advantage when baby came. We actually felt prepared and low stress in the days leading up to the delivery knowing we were armed with knowledge.

Also, can't say enough about the positive experience of hiring a doula through Welcome Baby. Kinda thought it would be a "first pregnancy only" thing but NO WAY! Cayla is an outstanding doula, we are more than lucky to have had her care and support during the most important day of our lives! My husband and I will reflect back on our delivery for years with such a fondness for Cayla, she was an essential part of our experience. She held my hand from the car to the labour & delivery unit, counted down my contractions, calmed the atmosphere in the birthing room to something I will never forget (turned off the lights and projected the northern lights on the ceiling!) and stayed much longer than I expected (as a first time mom, my birth was a long one!) She also snapped some photos that I will treasure forever! She came to our home a few times prior to delivery and since our birth has been to our home a couple times more. Shes assisted us with breastfeeding, given tips on setting up the nursery, sleep training and more!

She made me feel strong and supported when I felt weak, she was in my corner no matter what! Cayla never left my side and most importantly, I never once felt judged by choosing a hospital birth or even an epidural. She is truly a gift of a human and I can’t recommend her more!
