Welcome.
Hi!
We are Jenn and Cayla, the co-founders of Welcome Baby Co. With a combined experience of 16 years in the birth world, we bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication to our work. As proud mothers with a total of seven children spanning ages 8 to 19, we understand the profound impact that comprehensive support and education can have on expecting and new families.
At Welcome Baby Co., our commitment is to excellence in providing prenatal education classes, birth and postpartum doula services, infant sleep education and support and breastfeeding guidance. Our aim is to empower our clients, fostering a sense of community, and equipping them with the knowledge needed to navigate pregnancy and early parenthood confidently.
Recognizing the challenges inherent in our industry, we have established a mentorship program for new doulas. This initiative offers a structured platform for learning, community building, and skill development to support families throughout the journey from pregnancy to parenthood.
We take pride in the meaningful work we do and consider ourselves privileged to have roles that positively impact the lives of those we serve.

Do you want to work with our team?
The job of a doula can feel very intimidating and isolating with the average doula leaving birth work by 2.5 to 5 years. We’d like to take some of that stress away by providing you with community, guidance, and opportunities to support families. With a combined 16+ years of experience between Jenn and Cayla, we recognize some of the hurdles that doulas face and aim to make doula work more sustainable for the doulas that work with us, as well as change the culture in Calgary for doulas as a whole.
Registration in or completion of a doula training course is required.
Inclusivity statement.
Welcome Baby Co. is committed to supporting and embracing the presence and contributions of all persons regardless of age, culture, abilities, bodies, ethnic origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, nationality, race, religion, or socioeconomic status. We believe that prejudice, oppression, and discrimination are detrimental perinatal care and our community. At its core, Welcome Baby Co. values inclusiveness and the creation of a safe and welcoming space for all those who we support in Calgary. Creating such an environment means that our work towards inclusion is ongoing and our learning is continuous.
