About Kate

Kate’s passion for doula work began after the birth of her first child. It was nothing like what she expected or was prepared for and the experience ignited a genuine interest in evidence-based, supported births. In preparation for the birth of her second child, she sought out a doula to provide support in the pursuit of a different birth experience. This incredible experience helped heal emotional wounds from her first birth and further solidified her belief in the value of becoming a doula to support others.

Kate is passionate about supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, labour and postpartum. She believes in having strong support, which allows confident and prepared decisions to happen. She is committed to helping families feel empowered and supported for a positive and empowering birth.

Kate and her family can be found on the many bike and cross-country ski trails around the city throughout the evenings and weekends and enjoying the outdoors whenever they can!
