Live Virtual 7-Week Group Prenatal Education Series
Now you can learn from the comfort of your home with our Virtual Live Group Prenatal Series. Enjoy information-filled sessions complemented by engaging group activities. Classes run from 7:00 pm - 9:15 pm, and we highly encourage both the birthing person and support person to attend, with both spots covered in your fee.
Beyond in-person instruction, you'll receive a professionally bound, full-color Welcome Baby Co. workbook, created by us with over 140 pages of valuable information and worksheets. Our workbook is designed to be a lasting resource you'll actually want to use. You'll also gain access to additional resources and videos through weekly emails, and can connect with your instructor via text, email, or phone for extra support before or after your baby arrives.
Plan to Be Prepared. While you can't plan birth, you can prepare for it! Understand your options and preferences to make informed decisions and reduce stress if plans change. Our classes provide the information you need to be a confident, prepared, and empowered decision-maker at your birth. Topics cover stages of labour, coping strategies, comfort measures, inductions, pain medications, cesarean, interventions, postpartum healing, mental health, newborn care, breastfeeding, and more.
Group Class Series Outline.
Class 1: Introduction to birth: anatomy, hormones & concepts to set the stage for learning.
Class 2: Overview of stages of labour, early labour, inductions and possible interventions.
Class 3: Active labour, comfort measures and pain medications, including hands-on practice.
Class 4: Transition, pushing, birth and placenta delivery, immediate postpartum and cesareans.
Class 5: Postpartum recovery, newborn procedures, healing after birth and newborn care including bathing, swaddling, diapering and more.
Class 6: Breastfeeding & bottle feeding.
Class 7: Parenting your baby including the fourth trimester, developmental milestones, infant sleep, relationships after baby, and postpartum mood disorders.
